With a background in science and a love for business, what I have found in accounting is that it is the perfect amalgamation of the two; the science of business.

I graduated from Simon Fraser University with a degree in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry. From there my path wound through working in pharmaceutical research and development, managing fundraising campaigns for a national not-for-profit organization, and working in and managing the accounting and finance operations for a General Contractor in the commercial construction sector operating across Western Canada while obtaining my CPA designation. These experiences together have really helped prepare me for my role at Raincoast Business Advisors, where I have the incredible opportunity to work with many businesses and individuals, helping them understand the story behind the numbers. positioned to write the next chapters!

 

When I’m not getting exciting about dashboards, spreadsheets and financial statements, I enjoy spending time with my wife and four kids, and exploring the great outdoors.
